FSC

Since 2011, 11 CEWE production sites and 17 sales offices across Europe have been FSC®-certified. CEWE is therefore permitted to label products with the FSC® label. To do this, the entire processing chain of the respective product, from the forest to the wholesaler, must be fully certified. For this purpose, the production processes are audited annually by independent third parties.

All versions of our CEWE PHOTOBOOK are certified by the Forest Stewardship Council®. Other photo products in our range also bear this seal.

For each product, all relevant materials that it contains must be FSC®-certified, including paper and cardboard, i.e. the components that contain wood fibres. Over 90% of the digital printing papers we use and the majority of the photo papers we buy are FSC®-certified. For a product to be certified, the entire process must be adapted to the FSC® standards. This is checked annually by independent third parties.

We are working on being able to offer additional FSC®-certified products.

National Trust

CEWE’s partnership with the National Trust celebrates our mutual passion for creativity, preserving memories and a commitement to photography. Our support will help preserve and bring to life their photographic collections, alongside volunteering and environemental conservation activities.

SOS Children's Villages Worldwide

Since the partnership began in 2015, the collaboration between CEWE and SOS Children's Villages has been expanded to include twelve international partner locations worldwide. The organisation is committed to helping families in need in a variety of ways. CEWE supports SOS Children's Villages worldwide primarily through monetary donations. Employees also volunteer in local institutions.

Great Place to Work®

Great Place to Work is an international research and consulting institute that supports companies in developing their corporate and workplace culture. CEWE has already conducted an employee satisfaction survey in 2012, 2017 and 2021 and achieved very good results.

The Warwickshire Wildlife Trust

CEWE have been working collaboratively with The Warwickshire Wildlife Trust, a local independent conservsation organisation, whose misson it is to bring closer closer to nature and create a land rich in wildlife. Through our partnership with a joint passion of photography we want to highlight how a wildlife-rich environment benefits both physical and mental health.

The Myton Hospices

CEWE have been partnered with The Myton Hospices, a local charity in Myton which supports people living with a wide range of terminal illnesses, and their families. Since 2022 we have engaged in many fundraising activities for the charity to help raise vital funds to continue their work.

Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP)

CEWE has been participating in the Carbon Disclosure Project, the world's most comprehensive database for environmental data, since 2010. In 2021, CEWE was rated with a good result (B) for its environmental reporting and climate protection performance.

UN Global Compact

Since September 2010, CEWE has been participating in the global initiative of commercial enterprises that is committed to combating corruption, slavery and child labour and to promoting decent work.

ISO14001

In 2011, an environmental management system was set up at all CEWE locations in Germany in accordance with the DIN EN ISO 14001 standard. All CEWE locations are now also certified internationally. To this end, employees record thousands of measurements and key figures every year in order to derive improvements in environmental protection.

Charter of Diversity

In May 2017, CEWE joined the "Charter of Diversity". The signatory companies commit to creating a working environment that is free of prejudice and in which all employees are valued.

Healthy Printing Alliance

In 2017, CEWE joined the Healthy Printing Alliance, supporting the search for healthy and compostable printing inks.

Federal Association for Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics (BME)

CEWE joined the BME in 2010, which promotes knowledge transfer through the exchange of experiences and scientific work on new methods and procedures.

ISS Environmental Quality Score

ISS Corporate Solutions supports companies in designing their corporate governance, compensation and sustainability programs, among other things. Based on a comprehensive questionnaire, CEWE received the highest score from ISS in the “Environmental” category.
